Many of the students find them very lucky during their college days. In this very glorious part of their life they get a chance to meet some very great personalities, to come close proximity with the brilliant minds, their professors and lecturers. They always make a positive impact in the minds of these young brains. We all know, the first thing which the students see is the positive things of his teacher and keenly wants to adapt that.

If we give the direction to spotlight the academically some of the brilliant students even want to opt for the careers like in education i.e. like lecturers or professors, instead of the more glamorous lucrative career options. Even in today’s phase of the country like India, college jobs rank the most top rated after professions.

But here the beneath goes cemented on some very important stuff that is the eligibilities for these applications. Well, students must have possessed a postgraduate degree. Means a doctoral degree PhD always comes in handy with this. For this, University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts the NET (National Eligibility Test) twice a year. The candidates that are able to clear it, becomes eligible to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship and gets an easy entry as a lecturer.

But the National Eligible Test is conducted for some subjects as: Social Sciences, Humanities and Languages, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Applications and Electronic Science. There is one more organization, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in association with the UGC, also conducts the exam called as UGC_CSIR NET for various fields other than science subjects, such as: Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences.

The test conducts by these two organization collaboration in the moth of June and December every year. The mandatory and relevant information for these tests are made in framed in the local newspapers like Employment News respectively in the month of March and September every year.

The UGC is there and working on it to maintain a high standards to filter out the best students among the prospective candidates who have applied. Well, statistically only five percent of the total applicants are able to successfully crack the NET exam every year.

For entry into different state level colleges, SLET (State Level Eligibility Test) got conducted in the states like: West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and north eastern States. And the successful candidates who have cleared the test are eligible to take lectureship in any of these states only.
