Manipur is a small state situated in the north-eastern region of India. Its capital city is Imphal, which also the only well known city in this state. Manipur as is situated on the Myanmar border, security is taken good care of in this state. One such example is that a tourist cannot cross the capital without prior permission to explore remote Manipur. As the population is not so dense in this region, education is still behind the level of many other states situated in mainland of India. There are very few universities situated in this region like Manipur University, Indira Gandhi national Open University and National open school. Education which is a national consciousness now in India has started to pace up in this state of Manipur too. As a result many are opening up in this hilly state as well. It contains a total of nine districts which are equal in every concern like land, population etc. The main reason for backwardness of this state could be road transport system as there only one connecting Manipur connecting the rest of India, if this road happens to get blocked due to calamity then its difficult for the centre to enable rescue operation.
This state is completely filled with hills and highlands. Also due to heavy rainfall in this region, forests thrive in this part of India. This would actually open up employment sector in forest department and wildlife department. Many educational institutions are coming down to the door steps of Manipur for setting up good schools, colleges and universities. This phenomenon forces many jobs to be offered in this sector like teachers, lecturers, professors etc. Also recently prime minister Man Mohan Singh has taken a legendary decision to upgrade the Manipur University to a central university which is encouraging for students from outside states to come pursue their desired degreeās here. As this comprises the north-eastern border of the country, security is has to be deployed in large scale to avoid foreign attacks and intrusions. This again allows many army jobs to dwell in this region.
Many remote jobs are available which are maintained by village officials. These employees extract many natural products, raw materials and minerals from the forests.
Many jobs in the streams of mechanical engineering, IT, Call Centre, Biotech, Nursing etc are also available but on a small scale. The government of India has promised a ninety eight kilometre long railway line to Tupul in Manipur which is situated twenty five kilometres from the capital of the state, Imphal. This would make travel and import-export much easier in Manipur. Due to which many industries can be put up locally employing many local people. Like never before, Manipur has started to provide jobs in various sectors. More over, recent advancements in the state have made the job availability rate to jump up its course. To encourage job opportunities in this part of India, companies would not hesitate to offer decent pay packages.
