Jammu and Kashmir is also popular for its large orchards located in the Kashmir valley. Apples, Pears, Peaches and Strawberries etc of the best quality are grown here. The temperature and climate suits the production of these fruits. Dry fruits like Walnuts, Almonds, apricots etc are also extensively grown and exported world over.
Major tourism spots in Jammu and Kashmir are Vaishnodevi temple, Raghunath temple, Pahalgam, Gulmarg etc. These tourist destinations pull in thousands of tourists yearly and therefore tours and travel business, hotels and lodging are on the most popular employment generation sectors in Jammu Kashmir.
