Gurgaon is one of the major cities in Haryana, with a substantial economic growth. It is situated very near to Delhi. Gurgaon is a city, which had evolved into a bustling city from a hibernating city. It has witnessed economic growth in leaps and bounds. The name Gurgaon is named after Guru Dronacharya, Gurgaon means the village of the guru. Gurgaon interestingly in divided into two parts geographically, the new Gurgaon and the old Gurgaon.
The new Gurgaon is well infra structured, well planned and has all the modern facilities. The new Gurgaon is constructed in sync with the emerging IT and ITES sectors, apart from the industrialization. Its location in proximity to Delhi is one of the main reasons of the exponential development of the city. The real estate companies have changed the face of Gurgaon, seeing the high industrialization rate.
Gurgaon is transforming into an economic stronghold from a trivial city. Many industries and companies are being set up in the city, providing job opportunities to many people. The growth in the textile industry has achieved heights in the city; large volumes are being exported to foreign countries thus making it stand apart from other textile hubs in the country.
The IT and ITES industry is picking up pace in the city, many multinational companies and Indian companies are more than interested in the city. With this pace of industrialization and growth, the city is sure to become an IT and ITES hub too. Many IT parks and electronic industry based parks are spread though out the city, attracting many job seekers towards the city. Gurgaon is also competing with many other leading cities in providing quality outsource work. Many people are employed in ITES companies, they are outsourcing work at lower rates. Many industries have sprouted through out the city; they are agro based, food processing, electrical and biotechnology. Gurgaon, which was one’s a trivial village has grown into an industrial stronghold, providing, jobs to many people.
