Delhi – the capital city/ state of the world’s second fastest growing country – India. Being the national capital, it is vested with the best infrastructure and governance in the country. Factors such as respect for work, safety for women, opportunities galore and lesser cost of living compared to the other metropolitan cities make it one of the hottest destinations for growth oriented working environment.
Ambitious projects such as ‘Delhi Metro’, hosting of commonwealth games in 2010 and the likes are creating a lot of spur in and outside the country. Apart from these fields, traditional works and popular handicrafts such as Zari, Zardosi, Paper Crafts, Metal Carving, Stone Carving etc have takers in both Indian and the International markets.
Delhi is equipped some of the world’s finest educational institutions such as the prestigious AIIMS, IIT, IGNOU, IIFT etc. Annually, these institutes along with innumerable other institutes, churn out thousands of intelligent and skilled man power to their respective industry. Therefore, more and more companies are setting up their base in Delhi, which is creating good employment opportunities for many.
Delhi is an extremely well connected city both nationally and internationally. A dense railway network connects Delhi to every nook and corner of the country. The Indira Gandhi International Airport connects the city to all major cities in most of the countries in the world.
The migration of people from various cultures, religions, regions etc, over the centuries, has made Delhi into a vastly multicultural and multilingual state. Hence the people of Delhi are very helpful, welcoming and heart-warming. Delhi is located at the heart of India. Positioned just below the mighty Himalayas, it has extreme climatic conditions. The summer sun heats up the city to 46 degrees centigrade when he is at his peak. Similarly, the cold wave chills the city to a low of 4 degrees centigrade during peak winter season. Nevertheless, the city and its people move-on on the growth track and that speaks tones about the work culture &attitude of the city.
