Madhya Pradesh can be retitled as mineral capital of India. It has very vast resources of minerals. It is home to some of the biggest mineral industries. Unity Steels Ltd. Raipur Ferro Nickel, G.M. Mital Stain- Dhar Ferro Nickel ltd, Chinaware Ferro Nickel ,Mukesh Bhandari Dhabua Ferro Nickel etc are some of the heavy alloy industries in the state . It consumes more chemical engineers every year than any other country. Many oil industries generate huge labour opportunities .this has created numerous job opportunities especially for unskilled labour . As oil industries need mostly unskilled labour.

The old city is full of jute and textile industries, India most famous textile industries are located in Bhopal .with jute and cotton being primary crop in Madhya Pradesh, the textile industry has flourished in Bhopal making it not famous in India, but also across the world. many textile giants like Raymond, grasim suitings have the main manufacturing bases in Bhopal making it textile hub of nation. Bhopal is paradise for textile engineers, textile industry too has generated huge employment opportunities both in organized sector and in unorganized sector .
