Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka, which happens to be the third fastest growing state in India. Apart from being the state capital, it is also the Information Technology (IT) capital of India. With both Indian and foreign IT companies establishing their stronghold all over the city Bengaluru is all set to give other metropolitan cities a run for their money. Its favorable climatic conditions, high salaries and incentives, tremendous amount of job opportunities etc make it a truly workaholic city. Karnataka has large mineral and ore deposits of gold, silver, iron, manganese, limestone, copper etc. Hence, the state as well as the city requires a continuous need of workforce at various levels.
Though IT rules the present day scenario of Bengaluru, it is the Bio-technology and Nano-technology industries,that are going to rule the roost in Bengaluru in the coming decades. The government of Karnataka has already started taking steps in this regard and, the day is not far away when another technology bubble is going to create millions of jobs and tremendous job opportunities. Apart from the high revenue sectors, the small-scale industries and other service sector companies are also flourishing well in Bengaluru and thereby creating many job opportunities.
In order to serve the ever-growing needs of the Multi-National Companies (MNC’s) and public sector organization organizations, the government has taken stern measures to improve the educational setup of the state. The Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Science, National Institute of Technology, Bengaluru Central Institute of Indian Languages etc has produced many young entrepreneurs & innovators who are riding the growth of Bengaluru.
